Raised in a household where Dutch and Greek traditions coexisted, he developed a profound appreciation for the stories of those who ventured beyond their homelands in search of opportunity, belonging, and a better life. His work honors family histories that transcend geography and connect generations across borders.

With careful attention to detail and the interplay of color, light, and shadow, Peter seeks to reveal the essence of each subject’s unique story. His artistic process is deeply collaborative. Before beginning a painting, Peter engages with each subject’s family narrative, allowing personal histories and lived experiences to guide the emotional tone of the work.
